From October 2–4, 2026, the Espacio Pablo VI hosts three days of unfiltered debate, hands-on workshops and networking, open to anyone curious about Bitcoin
Madrid, 25 August, 2026. Tickets are now live for the fifth edition of Watch Out, Bitcoin! (WOB), taking place October 2–4, 2026 at the Espacio Pablo VI in Madrid. Passes are available at wobitcoin.org, with several access tiers and the option to pay directly in Bitcoin.
What sets WOB apart is how it treats debate. It is not an echo chamber. It’s a stage where ideas are attacked and defended openly, without dogma, weighing Bitcoin’s strengths against its contradictions.
That approach has produced moments that are hard to find anywhere else. In 2024, the event staged a Bitcoin vs. Gold debate, with Gustavo Martínez (@gustavobolsa) going head-to-head with Juan Rodríguez (@juanbiter), two sharply opposing views facing off on the same stage.
The organizers told the Crypto.news team that this openness is exactly the point. You don’t need to be an expert to attend, only curious.
The program is built so that anyone can grasp what Bitcoin is and why it matters, learning straight from the stage and connecting with the community.
The anniversary edition again brings top-tier speakers with international reach, headlined by Nick Anthony (Cato Institute policy analyst and Human Rights Foundation fellow, one of the world’s most prominent critics of CBDCs), Alvero D. Maria, (@alvaro_dmaria), alongside voices like Franco Amati, a well-known name in the cypherpunk and Bitcoin scene. The weekend is structured across three roles:
- Friday: hands-on workshops in parallel rooms (mining and digital sovereignty already confirmed.
- Saturday and Sunday: the debates that define the event.
- All weekend: networking and social spaces to meet the community.
Last year’s edition drew more than 500 attendees and over 55 speakers, a sign of steady growth. Crypto.news returns this year as a media partner, continuing its coverage of one of the Spanish-speaking world’s key Bitcoin gatherings.
